Description:

eyeConference allows you to integrate the OpenSource webminar Openmeetings into your eyeOs installation, so you can use videoconference from inside your eyeOs, sharing desktop and made powerpoint presentations.

To install it, uncompress the file and take a look to INSTALL file.

Then go to Applications -> eyeConference

This app was developed for Rural Schools and Cloud Computing project (http://rural.cesga.es) and it\'s based on the Moodle plugin to connect with Openmeetings.

Install as any other eyeOs package and edit file:
(route to your eyeos directory)/apps/share/eyeControl/categories.xml

Add the following content to the file in the section Administration:

<description>Manage videoconference settings</description>
<display>eyeConference settings</display>
<img>index.php?theme=1&amp;extern=icons/48x48/DeviceCamera.png</img>
<name>eyeConference</name>
<permissions>root</permissions>
<title>yes</title>
</content>

On your eyeOs go to the "System preferences" and edit your connection parameters for use with Openmeetings.

 Great idea but not working

I love the idea because it could well be a killer app. Only problem is that it does nothing and that conf asks for params I can't find in openmeetings.

When I go to the openmeetings demo
Http://www.openmeetings.de/openmeetings
I can see no SID and no room ID.
When I click on the eyeConference icon nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong, because I want this app to work.
Once again, great effort.

Dear Hanspu,
it's not working for you because you need your user to be administrator at the OpenMeetings platform to use this feature, and, for that, you need your own openmeetings server.

So, being admin, you can see your user ID and the room id and set it into your eyeOs configuration :)

Vale,
I'm setting up a openmeetings test server @ the moment and hope it will work then.
I think that you are on a great project and I hope you succeed. I'm am trying to set up something similar in the Netherlands and maybe we can work together in the future. I think eyeOS is a great product for this kind of stuff and with your openmeetings integration you have made a killer app. This will pull people over the line to go for cloud computing.

I have my openmeetings set up properly now (not so easy) and filled out all the required fields in eyeos but if I klick on the eyeconference icon, absolutely nothing happens. No Iframe, nada. I wonder if there is some other file I would need to edit. All other Iframes I use (based on eyepass) work just fine.

Well, I don't know...I developed this one for our project (with eyeOs 1.9) but if someone is interested maybe I could do it, I think it must not be a great effort :)

I'm going to take a look and I will tell you if I can do it as soon as possible :)
