Ich schon wieder... Weiß jemand von euch, wie man im conky nen Hintergundbild einstellt?
Ich habe nun das halbe Internet nach ner Möglichkeit abgesucht und nix brauchbares gefunden.

Und schon wieder ich. Die Gruppe muss man ja schon regelrecht suchen, wenn hier keiner was schreibt.

Ich will in nächster Zeit meine Hardware aufrüsten. Vermutlich wird es wieder ein AMD system. Oder vielleicht doch ein Intel?

Also, Frage an alle: Hat sich einer von Euch in letzter Zeit ein neues Board gekauft und kann es mir empfehlen? Am besten wäre es, wenn alles ohne großes Zutun laufen würde. Ich wäre für Hinweise sehr dankbar.

Okay... das kommt ja nur bei Intel in Frage. Aber welche Chipsätze werden aktuell unterstützt? Funktioniert Sound, LAN, USB, Hibernate und Suspend auf Anhieb? Ich bin eigentlich auch nicht auf der Suche nach Highend Komponenten, eher Energieeffizient mit trotzdem genügend Leistung für grafische Sachen. Aber trotzdem danke ich Dir Kai. Wenigstens einer, der hier mal reingeschaut hat. Vielleicht wachen ja noch andere auf?! :)

Ich wußte es. In den anderen Gruppen ist viel mehr los. Aber die meisten sind echt zu bequem mal ne Runde einfach so zu plaudern. Schade eigentlich. So ist es eine Community ohne viel Kommunikation. Zweck nicht erfüllt. Stellen sich zwei Fragen: Wissen die anderen über alles Bescheid? Oder... ist Dabeisein alles? ;D

Ich wünsche allen ne angenehme Restwoche!

Ich hab erst mal meine Benachrichtigung eingestellt damit der mir auch sagt wenn hier was geschrieben wird.

Zudem ist das ja hier in etwa nur ein "Kommentarsystem" und bietet nicht wirklich Themensortierung an. Ein wenig nervig für Diskussionen.

BTW: Ich steh auf AMD Boards mit NVidia Chipsätzen drauf (NForce oder wie die Dinger heißen). Hab selber eins davon und bin rundum zufrieden.

Mein Problem ist nur, dass es derzeit keine vernünftigen AMD Boards mit Nvidia Chipsatz gibt. Die neuen Boards sind alle mit AMD Chipsatz. Aber da ich ja Energie sparen will, sind die sowieso vorteilhafter. Aber es scheint keiner ein aktuelles Board zu benutzen. Meine Nvidia Grafikkarte würde mit umziehen. Bei Intel schrecken mich immer die Preise ab. Günstige Boards unterstützen nicht alle Prozessoren und unterstützen zum Teil kein RAID. Günstige Prozessoren haben keine Virtualisierungstechnik im Kern. So wird es wohl doch wieder AMD Zeugs. Frei nach dem Motto: probieren geht über studieren. :)

Ich denke es wird kaum noch Hardware geben die nicht unter Linux laufen. Inzwischen laufen die unmöglichsten Sachen nahezu perfekt (z.B. mein alter iMac mit ppc. Teilweise besser als mit OSX xD).

Auf jeden Fall solltest du dir einen "Dealer" suchen der Ahnung von dem hat was er da verkauft. Es gibt sogar schon Händler die können dir sagen ob die Hardware gut mit dem Pinguin läuft oder nicht ;)

Ach so .. das neuste ist auch nicht immer gleich das Beste!

Hm... das neuste ist nicht das beste. Klar. Aber wenn ich was altes will, dann kann ich auch mein altes System behalten. Ich will aber Energie sparen und brauche mehr Leistung. Mein PC läuft einfach zuviel, um im Leerlauf oder ohne große Rechenleistung abzufordern 100 Watt zu verbraten. Und wenn ich die Leistung brauche, ist sie nichtmal da. Ich habe nun lange hin und her gerechnet und habe mein System gefunden. Es ist ein guter Mittelweg aus allem. Nicht zu teuer, relativ sparsam und genug Leistung für meine Aufgaben. Intel ist wegen Ausstattung und Preisgestaltung weggefallen. Ob nun Ruhezustand und Standby gehen muss ich probieren. Zur Not halt darauf verzichten und immer komplett runterfahren.
