Hallo!

Noch ist ja nicht viel los hier. Ich freue mich trotzdem über diese Gruppe. Zum einen, weil ich immer wieder auf Ubuntu oder deren Derivate zurück komme. Zum anderen, weil ich es gut finde, mal darüber zu plaudern, welche Erfahrungen die anderen so machen. Vielleicht kann ich auch die eine oder andere Hilfe leisten. Auch wenn Ubuntu als zu "Klickibunti" verrufen ist, bleibt es eine der besten Linux-Distributionen die es gibt. Es gibt da zwar immer wieder Kritikpunkte, die nicht verschwiegen werden sollen. Dazu gehören in der aktuellen Version die verfrühte Einführung von Grub2 und auch GDM2, es muss aber auch die Einfachheit der Benutzung und die außerordentliche Hardwareerkennung als positive Seite erwähnt werden. So ist Ubuntu die derzeit einzige Distribution, welche ich auf einem Toshiba M30 zum laufen gebracht habe. Bei allen anderen Distributionen bin ich gescheitert. Wie auch immer, ich hoffe, dass hier bald einiges los sein wird.

 ACPI Problem

Ich habe nun schon das ganze Internet nach einer Lösung abgesucht. Das Problem ist, dass ich auf nem Notebook Ubuntu nur mit acpi=off starten kann. Nach der Installation geht gar nix mehr. Das Ding schaltet sich beim booten (bootsplash) einfach ab. Hat jemand eine Idee?

Ist nen altes Notebook. Dieses oben beschriebene. Ich mache eben ein BIOS Update. Mal sehen ob das hilft. Im BIOS selber läßt sich gar nichts einstellen. Vielleicht geht es danach ja irgendwie. Ich melde mich dazu noch mal.

Das BIOS Update hat alle Probleme gelöst... soweit... hoffe ich... werde ich noch testen. :D

Fast alle Probleme gelöst, nun startet das Ding nur ordentlich, wenn eine USB Maus dran hängt. Wenn ich diese abziehe geht nix mehr. Nun habe ich bei Ubuntuusers paar Startparameter gefunden, die man in die menu.lst von Grub einfügt. Das doofe ist nur, dass Grub2 diese nicht mehr besitzt. Ich habe null Ahnung, wo ich das in diesen vielen neuen Grubkonfigurationsdateien einfügen könnte. Jemand eine Idee?
